Preventive medicine: Developing vaccines

Humans throughout the history have had suffered a lot of diseases and epidemics , and inventions , explorations , experiments and development of new treatments and vaccinations were always our ways to get out of epidemics and stop diseases from spread and killing souls .

We’re all have been suffering from Corona virus pandemic since late 2019 , with lots of trails and errors regarding treatments to fight against this novel virus and as it kept surprising us to different strains and different pathological ways to affect humans ranging from completely asymptomatic to critically lethal cases .

There were come the urgent need to develop vaccine , as for most viral infection the treatment is supportive except for a few which has a certain known regimen such HIV , HCV to name a few .

The scientists from different countries quickly invent vaccines with different mechanisms , and I think that it’s the fasted vaccine from development to deployment in the human history after Mumps which was development and completed trails in 4 years . Thanks to technology and people and doctors whom suffered a lot in the past , so now we can use all the cumulative knowledge and experiences to come up with solutions and an end for this nightmare .

We finally can loosen up the lock down and social distancing rules , thanks to the vaccine .

Raising hats and sending a lot of respect to all the scientists and countries also who shared and volunteered the vaccine with other countries whether to complete the trial or after completed trails . Thank you , thank you , thank you .

Definition of Success

This word ” success ” has lots of definitions and meanings for every one of us .

Some define it as fame and being extraordinary in your field , for some it’s money , lots and lots of money , and for others it’s popularity even if being popular for something superficial and irrelevant . but for little it’s moderation .

Moderation in every aspect combined with satisfaction is the real definition of success .

Moderation is the key of life and to live maximally happy and enjoyable life .

so it differs from one person to other person as such every thing in life .

The formula of success by then would be very easy , just sit down by yourself , come up with your definition , surround yourself with others whom have the same definition and same principals , be persistent till what you go for come true .

what’s up 2021 ?

we are all still here amid the pandemic , things are still not under control and if want to say they’re so out of control , despite the vaccine has been produced and used and started slowly to gain a lot of safety with health care providers and people but there are still so many infections and critical cases all around , everyday .

It still hectic with decisions changing so many times , I just hope things to get better soon .

so, I’m still living in up and down , things are still so uncertain for me , work and life itself , but I’m trying , really trying giving myself hope and optimism needed to keep myself sane and live as happy and stable as I can .

What do I do in my free time?

Since I quit my job in the governmental sector and get only to work in private sector at private hospitals and my schedule became more flexible that I allowed to have more free time to relax, resuming my hobbies, elevate my mood and free myself completely of work stress but here are some rituals I love to stick to and be consistent with.

Long walk with my favorite play list on

This is considering my best part of my free time as it allow me to deeply connect with my soul and relieving my stress immediately and it’s kind of easy for me as my hometown is located at the mediterranean sea. So I went to those walks a lot till it became not just a habit but life style to me.

Making a good delicious meal with my dad

As being off to work most of the time and spending at least three nights at the hospital away from home and dad ,so being at home together is like special occasion every time so we’d like to prepare all kind of food that need somewhat preparation and enjoying it together.

Reading with a good cup of warm green tea

I love all kind of flavored tea, you can name anything, and also not only tea but all kind of herbs peppermint, anise, hibiscus, cinnamon,,, and one of my definitions of happiness is curling up under sheets with a good book and cup of warm anything J and leave me alone in heaven.

Keeping my journal

I used to keep my journal since I was 12 and I can remember that I was the only one in my class who always kept a small note with me to write down any good sentence fly within my brain and I always flooded with ideas, thoughts and daydreams, now I’m keeping my journal not every day of course but at least in the weekends and at my free time, it’s the only way my brain kept organized and my way to let overwhelming stuff go. And for my surprise what seemed a big deal happening always turned small in papers and I really got so relaxed after releasing all the chaos in my diaries. Despite having some good friends around me but I got used to this way of venting since I was so little.

Zomba dancing

This is also one of my best hobby I do at my free time and it really is amazing thing to do, to move me body, so rhythmic ,so joyfully, I started zomba dancing back in college and I was doing it every day for at least 15 minutes it was really a great way to keep my study on and my brain fresh also it helped a lot to keep my fitness , now I always feel fatigued because of work long hours that’s why I do zomba dancing and it actually helps.

Sleeping

I appreciate sleeping at home way too much, I guess doctors and anyone work at night will also do, but I appreciate not only time sleep but also sleep without distractions with no monitor alarms, now code blue at midnight, no urgent triple delivery at night . Sleeping after long shifts is indeed a great bless.

New year resolutions for 2020

READ  MORE

As long as my busy schedule allow me to do so , but I’ll really try my best . Not only medical books but I’ll return to read my beloved self help books.personal development, psychology and maybe finance books to know more about those things we didn’t learn at school .

One way  that can beat that overly busy schedule is audiobooks , lots are available on youtube for free .you can download them and listen to them in the car while driving to work . I started doing this since a while and it’s just amazing and motivational and a very good way to start your day with.

LEARNING NEW LANGUAGE

I’m already started  learning korean since almost 8 years now but stopped for a couple of years and returned back when I stayed at home during my time off and that thing give me a sense of accomplishment and was challenging my mind and for my surprise I found myself still memorize a lot of what I had learned before .

and I remembered my past glamorous days when I start to learn korean because of k pop and k drama and all my memories with reality tv shows  as star king and we got married .

Anyhow I’m learning now through duolingo app that I can take a 15 min off and learn .

MAKE A PLANNER EVERY SINGLE DAY

Now, before I go to sleep I make an organized planner of what I want to do  tomorrow for sake not  to lose time while things still not done yet and also for sake to get benefit form every single minute of the day even when I’m resting and taking moments to recharge my body and brain ..it’s so amazing  when things are organized it’s a very good way to save time and energy .

LEARN NEW THINGS EVERYDAY

Free online courses about almost everything are available ,youtube with its educational contents  .Youtube is a treasure to me .now everything is available just one click and some determination to learn .I’m as a doctor my life consisting mainly of learning and attending lectures and conferences but there are a lot more to know and learn about rather than medicine . Whatever you age  is never stop learning .

TRAVEL AND ENJOY LIFE

AS Mark Twin said ” twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do ” and I’m already regretting all the chances I missed last year, all the canceled plans and all the travels I’ve been missed because of complete disorganization and super chaotic work days.

Traveling is aphrodisiac to me with all its great experiences  and I really enjoy traveling so much and my be the only thing that is true about my horoscope archery  that I love airports and traveling. I  really deeply truly wish for this 2020 to be just  an amazing  year … full of good times ,good people ,good experiences.

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
